The Journal of Reading Education (JRE) is a juried publication of the Organization of Teacher Educators in Reading. The OTER members primarily consist of faculty, administrators, supervisors, consultants, and students pursuing degrees in the Reading Education Field.
The focus of the JRE is to promote excellence in literacy education through improvement in the training of reading teachers. The articles of interest to JRE members include: improving professional practices in higher education; helping teachers improve their instruction; facilitating administrative and supervisory practices; and researching teaching practices.
You must be a member of both the International Reading Association (IRA) and OTER for your work to be considered for publication in this journal.
Article length - 6500 words (maximum) or 20 pages (including references), double-spaced, 12 point type, Times-New Roman font. Articles exceeding the maximum length will be returned to the author.
